FANZONES

It has been approximately 20 years that 3e60sport has designed, produced and managed several Fanzones for some of the most important international sport makers. Our Activation Team is able to design Fanzones and Sports Villages, considering all the aspects to create a successful project.

Each Fanzone and Sports Village designed by 3e60sport is unique and is carried out by a dedicated team. In each phase of the project, sports experts, who are the main directors of the event, architects, creatives, communication and experiential marketing experts, logistics and set-up technicians are all highly involved. 
Our goal is to create an experience: modern, dynamic, highly engaging, capable of communicating with fans of every sport, that can unite the brand and business partners with the fans and the visitors.

The design and creation of a Fanzone or of a Sports Village necessarily starts with the definition of the goals and Key Performance Indicators - KPIs. Whether it is promoted by a Sport Maker or by private company, the project must be conceived around the main objectives, that can be communication, education, entertainment or, purely, profit, produced by selling areas to commercial partners, ticketing, F&B and merchandising.
 
3e60sport has designed, produced and managed, all over the world, various Fanzone projects for numerous international players in sport: Olympic Games, NBA, MotoGP, Rugby Six Nations, Saudi Professional League, Abu Dhabi Sport Council, AC Milan, Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munchen, Zenit Saint Petersburg and many more. At the same time, we have also designed sports areas for some of the major private players in the world of sports, to name a few: Coca-cola, Mastercard, Toyota, Redbull, McDonald's, Samsung, Ferrari, Emirates Airline.
 
Our strategic approach has always supported the design, leading to the accurate definition of all the elements of the project. Several elements define the correct strategy in the design, production and management of a Fanzone
First of all, the objectives and reasons for organising such an initiative, as well as factors such as communication needs: what are the messages/claims you intend to communicate, what reaction is expected from the audience, what are the "calls to action ", that are intended to be highlighted and promoted.
 
The positioning of the Fanzone must take in consideration the philosophy of the promoter. In 3e60sport, over the years, we have developed Fanzones whose positioning was mainly based on the concept of "fun", other Fanzones have been designed with a very "technical" cut linked, mostly, to sport performances and their evaluation. At other times, we have developed Sports Villages which basically had the aim to "celebrate the history of a Club", or a Sports League, and its own international achievements. 
In 3e60sport, we have many examples that show how we have successfully applied the different strategies, for different sport makers and companies, whose goal was to increase the ROI of their investment in sport.
 
The elements needed to develop a successful strategy are numerous and help optimize the available economic resources. A week-long event is developed in a completely different way from a fanzone that has a medium or long term duration

Each sport requires specific knowledge of the dynamics of the game, the type of target, the entertainment and communication expectations of the audience. Each sport has its own philosophy and a unique "tone of voice", linked to centuries-old traditions that have made it successful among its fans. For these and many other reasons, in 3e60sport, the creation of a Fanzone varies, depending, above all, from the sport that is involved.
 
3e60sport develops, for each individual project, a procedure for acquainting with the main sporting reality and always involves experts of that specific sports universe. This approach has always led us to create Fanzones and Sports Villages of great satisfaction for all those involved.
Different experiences are needed for the creation of a Fanzone, that can be developed inside a Shopping Center, rather than in a Sports Village on the beach in a touristic city or a Fanzone of ​​the Giro d'Italia cycling tour, a Fanzone that must be set-up almost every day, or a Fanzone of a Motorsport Village or in a Rally event in the Arabian desert. Everything is crucial, from the choice of the best structures to use, to the technical needs, from the logistical solutions, together with the spaces available. Everything differs greatly, depending on the various locations. During the years, 3e60sport, has faced every possible challenge, developing important know-how in the creation and management of Fanzones and Sports Villages, in all possible contexts and settings.

The entertainment component has acquired, during the time, increasing importance. Entertainment intended as an activity beyond the engagement stations related to the specific sport discipline. Animation, professional entertainers, artists, freestylers, music and DJ sets, constitute fundamental elements to attract a larger number of visitors other than the specific sports fans. 
In 3e60sport, we have created a specialized team dedicated to the creation of shows and animation, that have a specific profile perfectly suited for Fanzones and Sports Villages. Our database of artists, combined with the expertise of professional artistic directors and our dedicated team, have, over the years, enriched numerous Fanzones of International sporting events.
Each Fanzone, especially the ones created for long international tours, has a fundamental component that needs to be highly considered, linked to the design, production and execution of all logistical activities. Already during the design phase, 3e60sport’s Activation Team is involved in the analysis of the project, in order to optimise every single element, such as choosing the correct materials, structures, the best and fastest packaging solutions, considering the critical issues related to transport and the protection of the goods that need to be transported. 

All these variables have a fundamental impact on the final budget, in terms of volumes, weights, number of employees involved in the set-up, transport costs, etc.
